Hope everyone is doing great! Just wanted to remind you that new work packets will be available to start picking up tomorrow. The doors will be open from 9-6, Monday-Friday. These packets are for April 27-May 8. Please keep all completed work at home and we will gather it when we come back to school. This has been such a crazy time for us all and I want to THANK all of you for helping your child at home. I miss them all very much and I can’t wait to see them again. Hang in there, we are going to get through this!
I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. I can’t wait for everything to get back to normal, I’m missing everyone. As you probably already know, our return date is now Tuesday, May 5th.
If your child has completed their “work packets,” you can drop them off inside the Primary entrance. Please make sure your child has put their name on the packet. I know they have been working hard and I can’t wait to see their work. We will be getting more work ready for them and send the “pick-up” information at a later date.
We are also starting a Service Learning Project…..Hospital Heroes. We will be collecting “homemade” thank you cards for our local Hospital Heroes from April 1-10. If your child would like to participate, there will be a drop-off box labeled “Hospital Heroes” at the Primary Entrance.
Don’t forget to pick up Kindergarten Round-Up packets at the Admin Building on White Oak Road. If you have a PreK child at home or know of anyone that does, please remind them also. PreK will be an ALL day program next year.
Just wanted to make sure everyone knows about the “Primary Technology Blog.” Mrs. VanBrocklin has lots of grade level educational resources for you. Just go to primarytech.wonecks.net
I miss you all so much! Just wanted to remind everyone to pick up their work packets. They are available in front of the Primary Entrance in a box with your name on it. Please don’t feel like you have to do all of the work at once, do it at your own pace. Keep working hard, you are all doing an awesome job! If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected] I hope you are all enjoying time with your family, but I can’t wait to see you again!
Our kiddos have learned so much this year and we want their learning to continue at this difficult time. Today teachers worked very hard to put together resource packets for our students to work on while at home. The packets will be available for pick-up tomorrow, Tuesday 17, from 8:00-4:00 at the Primary drop-off/pick-up location. If this time does not work for you, please email me and I will make arrangements for you to pick-up at another time. WOISD wants to make sure that we have resources available to you that your child may need during these next two weeks.
Please visit our PRIMARY TECHNOLOGY BLOG for some great online resources. On the top right side of the page you will see a link for “At Home Resources.” Please click on the WOISD logo for some great ideas and activities you can do with your child.
Beginning March 18, WOISD will offer meals to all students in the district during the current Covid-19 closure. Meals will be served in a “drive-thru” format from 11am-12pm daily. Guardians/Students are asked to drive through in front of the HS/MS cafeteria on White Oak Road. Meals will be hand delivered to each vehicle. For those that are not able to “pick-up” we will be offering home delivery meals beginning at noon each day. Please call 903-291-2090 or email [email protected] no later than 10am on Wednesday morning, March 18, so that we can get an approximate number of meals needed. Please make sure to leave any pertinent info, such as phone number and address.
Meals will be offered to WO students during the closure dates: March 18th-20th, March 23rd-March 27th – This info will be updated as needed.

School resumes on Tuesday, March 17
Spring Pictures will be Wednesday, March 18
Today is a regular school day for White Oak Primary and Intermediate campuses.
Wow! It’s hard to believe that we have already been in school for 100 days. We had a fun time doing many “100” day activities which included counting 100 Fruit Loops and making a necklace, we counted to 100, we made a “100” day crown, and we did a “100” Q-tip dot painting.
In 100 school days my students have worked so hard and have learned so much. We have worked super hard on mastering all of our letters and sounds, our colors & shapes, rhyming, writing our name & numbers, and counting to 100, just to mention a few of our goals…. Please continue to practice these goals at home. I appreciate all that you do! We have begun taking reading books home. The kids are super excited about this! Please encourage your child to read every night and to be responsible about returning their book everyday. They are doing an amazing job!!
